Our work:
HMH partners with Haitian communities in an effort to reduce the physical and emotional burden of disease by:

• Conducting medical clinics
• Providing vital medicines
• Offering prayer and compassion
• Providing education and training for Community Health Workers
• Building water filtration units
• Conducting Vacation Bible School with area children
• Supporting the "Infants of Jesus" orphanage

To date HMH has conducted 5 week-long medical missions resulting in over 2000  recorded clinic visits and  employment of  56 Haitian nationals (6 healthcare professionals, 18 interpreters and 32 lay persons).   Fifteen community health workers trained during our most recent trip, continue to provide outreach and education to their communities.  HMH works to build and support local healthcare capacity and a sustainable infrastructure.

In January of 2009, HMH partnered with Foundation Good Samaritan in Action.  A Haitian foundation striving to provide preventative and curative medicine to the 40,000+ residents of Les Plaines, Haiti .
